"Keep Taking Pictures"

Posted by Ling | Labels: Best Blogger Tips

When I was first expecting Jaeden, the one enthusiastic advice given to me by young parents was to "keep taking pictures". Narcissist mommy of course heeded this.
In retrospect, if not for the collection of photos I amassed, I wouldn't have registered how fast my boy is growing.
So yes, my advice to parents-to-be is also to, "Keep taking pictures!"

Happy Father's Day

Posted by Ling | Labels: Best Blogger Tips

In view of Father's Day, I want to give credit to a most hands-on hubby that I could ever ask for.

Ever since we embarked on the journey of parenthood, he has rendered the greatest support the wife has ever known. It is one thing to be supportive and understanding when we go through crisis be it in our families, finances and careers as spouses; it is another to supportive, on top of the mentioned situations, when we were promoted to parents.

Here is a list of what he does:
My hubby vacuums and mops the floor, does his laundry, on a weekly basis...
My hubby prepares Jaeden's puree porridge every weekend...
My hubby washes Jaeden's bottles every morning, gives Jae his morning feed and looks after him so that I can get ready for work (with makeup)...
My hubby covers the major chores like washing the fan and the toilet bowl...
My hubby feeds, bathes, dresses, burps and plays with Jaeden. We are practically equal halves when it comes to looking after Jae.
TO THE MAN BEYOND MY WISHING WELL DREAMS, "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY AND I LOVE YOU!"

Mama?? Or Not?

Posted by Ling | Labels: Best Blogger Tips

"Mama" or "Mum Mum"???
In Jae's surroundings, he is exposed to both words (although I try to discourage the latter which isn't a proper word), so now I have the dilemma of figuring which he means.

Stick Them Up

Posted by Ling | Labels: Best Blogger Tips
Mummy Ling was totally out in space - missing - for all of April and May, coping with something familiar called "first trimester woes". I think I really am going to be a SuperMum, juggling two kiddos before the end of this year. I wonder how but we'll survive. No, we will more than survive. We will in fact do well by our God's grace.

I've already started planning how not to mix up Jaeden's and didi's (we shall call baby #2 didi for now) teats and milk powder dispenser. I know it's all too early but I got excited and though I have the conventional label machine from Brother, the vain part of me still ordered this! From Muakids.
It's supposed to washproof, tearproof and weatherproof but I haven't got the chance to test it yet. Here's where pretty-practical triumphs over simple-practical in my ledger.
